Dear Britt,

Can you believe Easter is here? I am looking forward to our first Easter worship service together. This week we are having three services:

  • 9:00 AM Celebration
  • 9:35 AM Genesis in Hangar
  • 10:45 AM Genesis in Sanctuary

We are hoping every service will be filled with guests and family. This is a day that many people are open to the gospel, and I am excited for what God will do.

One request I have for you: I have heard that many of our Genesis folks are planning on going to the 9:35 Hangar service. We are hoping that all three services will be equally well attended so I encourage many of you to continue choosing our 10:45 Genesis service.

That will help us manage the overflow from the 9:00 into the 9:35. We want to avoid having too many arrive for the 9:35 and them having to wait until the 10:45 to attend a worship gathering.

So grateful that we get to do this together. I can’t wait to see you Sunday.

This year, folks can pray from home or they can come to the Bridge any time between 5 and 9 PM. No need to sign up. We will be open in the High Place and also in our sanctuary at the Bridge for folks to pray. In the sanctuary we plan to have the prayer guide on the screen. CLICK HERE FOR THE PRAYER GUIDE

March Prayer Focus

Pray for Josh and Katie S. and their family serving in Anchorage, Alaska. Pray for their church plant, “Restoration Church” as they seek to make their presence known in their community. Pray for them as they work with those who are on the fringes of society and offer them a path of accountability to recovery. Pray for them as they launch a kids ministry and a youth group next month. Pray for more young adults and young families to come and be a part of Restoration Church.  Pray for a group from FBS to go in June to serve alongside Josh in Anchorage.

The Bridge is a great place to serve!

This year is off to a great start and we are very grateful for the faithful generosity so many of you continue to show to the ministries of First Baptist Spartanburg. As we go through this next year, we want to encourage you to continue in your commitment to be a faithful steward in every area of your life – time, talents, treasure, and testimony.

Here are a couple of the many options you can consider as you think about your financial stewardship:

·  Our online giving (one-time or recurring) platform through Realm at www.fbs.org/give or on the FBS app continues to be one of the most popular ways many of you give. It is available 24/7 and helps you stay up to date on your tithes even if you are unable to make it to church on any given Sunday. If you are concerned about the processing charges that the church incurs, there is an option that allows you to help offset these costs.

·   While many of you bring your tithes to church on Sunday, many others still send their personal or bank checks through the mail. If you use this method, please send it to the First Baptist Business Office at 250 East Main St. Spartanburg, SC 29306.

HEARING AID USERS

If you use a hearing aid manufactured in the last 10 years, you have a built in feature allowing you a direct connection to our sound system in the Sanctuary!

It is called the T-Coil hearing loop. Our Sanctuary has this installed on the main floor only, not the balcony, and is typically "channel 2" on your Hearing Aid. Your audiologist can give you more information or feel free to email [email protected] or text us at 877-443-2273 and we will be glad to help!

"Whoever has ears let them hear"

Matthew 11:15

Whether you want to get in shape, stay in shape, or get faster in a particular event and set a personal best, this is the place for you!

We plan to do this with a variety of avenues, primarily through an app called Strava! This is a social media app for recreation activities and we have a group under the name "FBS Running"! Using the Strava app you will be able to like and comment on activities of other people in the group, as well as upload your own workout to the group (which can be done automatically).  Please contact us with any questions that you may have about FBS Running!

Our Bless This Home

Prayer Ministry is growing!

Join us in this easy and unique way to pray for our neighbors.

Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness but have the light of life."

The Lord planted our church where we are to help our neighbors discover the light of life. So, as we continue in our 90 days of prayer, consider joining hundreds of FBS members in this prayer outreach by becoming a Light to your neighbors and living intentional pray-care-share lifestyles.

Becoming a Light is free and confidential. You'll receive a map and list of your closest neighbors, along with emails at the frequency of your choice to pray for your next five neighbors that day. When you get a chance, walk or drive by those homes as you pray for them.

To learn more about this opportunity visit VISIT THIS LINK to sign up on the website!

May God bless you as you bless your neighbors!
