Our friends at the Food Gardening Network have once again partnered with us to bring you this printable seed germination temperature chart.

Once again, we'll be back in booth 310 at the PBS Wisconsin Garden & Landscape Expo. We've attended a lot of garden shows around the country, and this is one of the best. We'd love to see you there!

The KidsGardening.org Youth Garden Grant winners were announced this month. These 50 organizations will each receive $500 and a collection of gardening supplies for their youth garden program. We were so happy to be a part of this great program!

We had an excellent harvest of butternut squash last fall. Judy shares a recipe designed to use the squash in a tasty side dish.

Andy's Photo Corner
This month’s photo theme is evergreens in snow. One of the joys of northern winters is seeing the world with a fluffy white coating of snow. Snow looks cool day and night, and in all lighting conditions. Snow is crisp and clean and sparkling and serene. Snowy environments are a joy to walk around in (as long as you’re dressed for it!).

These snowy evergreens are all from our neighborhood. The ski trail is at a local county park. In all cases, I love the snowy pine boughs. They look great in the day with a bright, blue sky, in a winter conifer tunnel on a cloudy day, or at night when illuminated by different colors of light.

Enjoy the snow and stay warm!

-Andy
