Artist statement: "I have taken photographs for many years under the name of Flying Squirrel Graphics. I led trips to the American deserts, took photographs for some interesting non-profit organizations and was lucky to see some other parts of the world. I like meeting people, enjoy photographing them in unguarded moments, and am also drawn to scenes that are slightly off-kilter." On exhibit through June 1 at the Howe Library's Ledyard Gallery, Hanover, NH. Produced by Jordyn Fitch for CATV.

jamCAMP for teens @CATV: News & Multimedia Journalism

Campers in grades 8-12 will be joined by professional journalists Maggie Cassidy (VTDigger), Jim Kenyon (Valley News), Rob Gurwitt (Daybreak), and Elizabeth Wilcox (author and journalist) for this deep dive in real reporting. Probing current issues of concern to them, campers will produce news projects across media, including text, podcasting/radio, and TV/ streaming – asking essential questions about the roles and responsibilities of “the media” in our democracy, what makes a good story, and how we know “truth” in reporting.

Directed by Tamsin Orion (documentary filmmaker) & Samantha Davidson Green (CATV executive director)

Kitty Toll lt gov.png

Kitty Toll runs for Lt. Governor

The events of Jan. 6 sparked former state legislator Kitty Toll's decision to run. "I feel [our democracy] is fragile. It's hanging by a thread," says the Danville resident. Expanding broadband and addressing climate change rank as other key issues for her. From our friends at GNAT.

CATV supports lifelong learning to engage the tools of media for individual and community expression in the Upper Valley.
