February 1, 2019

February may be a short month but we’re packing it full of events to help you grow your business. Please join us on February 5 from 8-9 AM at the Bethlehem Public Library. If you can attend only one Chamber event this year, make it this one. We will review the ways the Chamber works for you 24/7, money saving programs to help grow your bottom line, referral programs, and more. We’ll also talk about ways we plan on bringing business in your door in 2019. There is no charge to attend this event but registration is required. To register click here .

Our partnership with Pinnacle Human Resources continues with our next Sexual Harassment Training for NYS Employers and their Employees on February 7 at the Bethlehem YMCA . The training will begin at 8:30. All employers in New York are required to provide all current and new employees with sexual harassment prevention training. Pinnacle Human Resources has been retained by privately owned corporate clients, municipalities, the hospitality industry and not for profits. They have been referred by law firms to work with their clients as well. Registration for the training is required. The fee is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. To register click here .

Nominations are now being accepted for our 34th Annual Awards Dinner . We want to recognize businesses, organizations, and people who make a difference in the community. We want to hear about the people that matter to you. Please share their stories with us! Nominations will be accepted until February 8. For nomination material please click here .

There is still time to be included in the 2019 Business and Community Directory . Did you know the directory is distributed to 8,000 people and has a pass-on rate of 11,000? It’s used in welcome packets and in relocation packets. This year copies will also be located in the Discover Albany offices, the Albany County tourism office. We are refreshing the directory this year and are including feature articles and photos. The deadline for advertising in the directory is February 22. To be included you must be a member in good standing. To purchase an ad email Erica Hogan .
