JAM Staff Featurette: sharing the humans behind the magic of JAM

Samantha Davidson Green

What do you do? My job title is "Executive Director," but "The Very Busy Spider" might be a better one! I spin webs of connection within our team, board, the community, and funders. I make sure people get paid and the lights stay on. Above all, I try to cultivate conditions for people to tap into their creativity.

What do you love about JAM? Hands down, the people! People I work with. People who walk in the door. People who share their stories. The world can feel a bit bleak these days, but the people I encounter through JAM give me courage and hope.

What event are you excited about? I'm excited for the 2025 JAMMY AWARDS on 12/5! I can't wait to don my finest pajamas and gather to celebrate the Upper Valley's creative accomplishments this year.

Let's talk about public media

After unprecedented cuts to public media and nonprofits, we're often asked, "Are you guys OK at JAM?"

With her background in public television (and being born in the same year as PBS!),

our Executive Director Samantha explores the past and present public media landscape and asks big questions: What do we want public media to mean in the world we now inhabit? And how does JAM fit into that vision?

Explore this in her blog post here, and read more Healthy Media Habits posts here!
