WINTER SPORTS REGISTRATION We are pleased to announce that registration for Winter Sports is now open! Sign up NOW to reserve your spot and avoid late registration fees.  Registration will close on October 11. The following programs are available: 

Girls Basketball – Grades 3-8

Boys Basketball – Grades 3-8

Little Dribblers (Co-ed) – Grades K-2

Cheerleading – Grades 3 and up

Pep Squad – Grades K-2

PRIVATE CAR RIDER DISMISSAL

Please follow the guidelines outlined here in order for dismissal to be both safe and efficient. Form 4 distinct lines (not one that wraps around). No vehicles should park on the opposite side of the mausoleum, nor should any vehicles exit the lot without staff permission. Additionally, no guardian should expect students to walk to a different location for pick-up. If the teacher does not see you, the student will not be released. Thank you for your cooperation.

A FEW REMINDERS

*Send a refillable water bottle to school with your children.

*Make sure to send dismissal notes in to school. If you are emailing, please email the homeroom teacher and the front office early in the day.

*If you child will be absent or late to school, you should call the school office or email both the homeroom teacher and the school office as soon as possible.

*Please label belongings - fleece, crewneck, jacket, pencil bag, lunch box, etc. and encourage children to check the lost and found. Currently, the lost is found is quite full. Anything not claimed by Friday, October 4th will be donated.

SEELOS SAMARITANS

Seelos Samaritans are going out in the community on Thursday October 10th 3:30-4:45pm. Please join us, as we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi, by cleaning up litter in North Park. YEARBOOK PHOTOS NEEDED

The yearbook needs your help! Our main goal for the yearbook is to include as many photos as possible across every grade to create a well-balanced book. This is where you can help! While we have a small committee of yearbook photographers, we also rely on parent submissions since it is hard to cover every event. Please use the link below to submit photos. We use photos for any school activity (first day of school, Harvest Home, sports, class parties, service projects, clubs, etc.).

USED UNIFORMS

Have the kids grown since you got uniforms? In need of any pieces? We can meet with you by scheduling a time during school hours, or we can send pieces home. We have items sized for Kindergarteners through 8th graders. 

Free Will Donations benefit BFSA PTG.

Please e-mail us at useduniforms@seelosacademy.org with what you need. 

We are in the need of the following items: 

- crewneck uniform approved sweatshirts, fleeces, or 1/4 zip uniform sweatshirts

- gym uniforms sizes Youth Medium, Youth Large, Youth X-Large, or Adult Small. 

If you have any these items that you are able to donate, please send them to the school office in a bag marked UNIFORM SALE.

VOLUNTEER WITH US AT LUNCH

Do you want an easy way to see your child/children during the school day? Are you curious if they actually eat during lunch or just talk to their friends? Volunteering for lunch duty is a perfect fit! Cafeteria volunteers are needed every day, and we love having parents and grandparents with us to help make lunch run smoothly. Some duties include helping along the serving line, wiping tables between lunch and assisting students during lunch. Clearances are required. In order to protect the safety of our children, it is the policy of the Diocese of Pittsburgh that anyone who serves as a volunteer within our school in any capacity complete a five-step process (Registration on the Diocesan database/PA criminal record check, PA child abuse history clearance, Fingerprinting/Fingerprint waiver, Protecting God's Children training, Mandated Reporter training).

We strongly encourage EVERYONE to complete these online NOW so you may be a part of the fun this school year!

If you have clearances registered with a different school or parish, you simply need to have BFSA added as a secondary site.
