Preschool 3 Part-Time Aide Opportunity

Tuesday/Thursday- 8:00 AM thru 2:10 PM

times are negotiable

Come join our fun Preschool 3 class at Blessed Francis Seelos Academy. The aide in the classroom helps assist the teacher in the daily functions of the classroom. This can include prepping materials, leading centers, cleaning up after snack, assisting with transitions and restroom time. The aides are also on lunch duty for our full day friends and retrieve the children from their cars during drop off. It is a fun and upbeat environment. Employee clearances will be required.

Used Uniform Contact Information

If you are in need of used uniforms or any items from the Used Uniform Closet, please contact us useduniforms@seelosacademy.org. This e-mail is checked once a week for requests. The next Used Uniform Sale will be during Catholic Schools Week.

"Make Us Believers"

St. Aidan's Parish will once again be presenting the Passion Play "Make Us Believers" on Friday, March 22nd at 8 pm, and Saturday, March 23rd at 8 pm.

We will have auditions for solo parts on Jan. 9th and Jan. 11th from 6-8 in the new side of St. Alphonsus Church. These solos are for Jesus, Pontius Pilate, Caiaphas, Mary, Peter, Judas, Herod, John the Beloved, Herod's wife, Accusers, and Veronica.

Any parishioner will be welcome. Just show up at the practices. We have many families that do this as their Lenten journey. The more the better!

Protecting God’s Children Training Event

Saint Aidan Parish will be hosting a training session for the Diocesan training Protecting God’s Children on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 1pm in the Seelos Academy Cafeteria (201 Church Road Wexford).

If you have been thinking about obtaining Diocesan clearances, this is a good opportunity to be able to get everything done for most Parish volunteer positions!

Clearances are necessary for ALL volunteers, including those who work at the Fish Fry, Festival, and Harvest Home Dinner. Assistance will be available to register as a volunteer on the Diocesan website and filling out forms for state clearances. The training for Protecting God’s Children will be presented by Phyllis Haney, the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s Secretariat for the Protection of Children, Youth & Vulnerable Adults.

Pre-registration is required. To register, or if you have questions, contact Mary King, Saint Aidan Parish Safe Environment Coordinator at mking@saintaidanparish.org or call 724-935-4343 x212.
