The Mitzvah of Writing a Sefer Torah!

The CTA community united to welcome our new Sefer Torah to our school earlier this week. With gratitude to The Kucherski Family who commissioned the Sefer Torah which was written in Israel over the last 10 months to make its home in our Aron Kodesh.

Leading up to and throughout the school day, our Judaic Studies teachers led engaging classes focused on Torah learning, the laws and traditions on the mitzvah of writing a Torah, special hands-on and art activities, a lunchtime seudah, and we all dressed up in our best clothing. So much joy! So much ruach! So much celebration! Our students are carrying the words of Torah to the next generation and keeping our Jewish faith strong.

Special thank you to the many who took this exceptional opportunity to make dedications in honor and in memory of loved ones.

May the generosity of the Kucherski family and the honor of this special mitzvah be a merit to the memory of Mrs. Lidia Kucherski, z"l.

Opportunities to make dedications are always available in the CTA Sefer Torah to purchase a letter, word, favorite Parsha or Sefer. All dedications will include a certificate and recognition. Dedications can be made at www.torahacademy.org/torah
