Main Function of a Seis Lagos Safety Officer

The main function of the Safety Officers is to greet and log visitors / contractors when they come into the community. Safety Officers can and do ask visitors their name, where they are going and if the homeowner is expecting them. If so, they are logged and can proceed. This process is similar with contractors.

Please note - our roads are publicly funded and as such they are public. Some are of the mistaken opinion that we can prevent entrance to the community. That opinion is incorrect.

Safety Officers are not security guards or personal security.
They are NOT armed.
  • The responsibility for safety and security resides with each homeowner. It is the responsibility of each homeowner to act prudently - lock doors to their home and vehicles, and do not store valuables or firearms in vehicles.

Other Safety Officer responsibilities include the safety around the common assets of the community such as the clubhouse, cabana, pools, other common areas and patrolling the neighborhood. The Safety Officers are asked to call the Collin County Sheriff if they see any illegal or suspicious activity.

Safety Officers will try to assist in some personal emergencies like auto accidents until authorities arrive. However, they do not get involved in finding pets or domestic issues with the exception of calling the appropriate authorities.

These individuals provide 24 hour service, 365 day per year and are dedicated to your safety and the well-being of our Community.

If you have any concerns regarding the Safety Officers, please contact the HOA office at 972-442-3000.

Seis Lagos Emergency Response Team

The Dallas tornado showed us what might happen if a tornado struck in Seis Lagos and Lucas. We may be cut off from Lucas and Wylie emergency services for some time by trees or debris blocking roads. There may be damage to homes in Seis Lagos and people may be injured or trapped. As much as we would all want to help our neighbors, an uncoordinated effort by untrained people could result in more people being hurt. There are Community Emergency Response (CERT) Teams in the area and some residents of this community are (or have been) members of those teams.

We would like to get residents of Seis Lagos trained in emergency response to be able to help our neighbors in case of an emergency. These trained people would also know CPR and could help with other problems that could occur in our community or other communities that might have experienced a disaster. East Texas Regional CERT provides training that can be used to help us form a team. Their website at http://easttexrc.org/ has a calendar that shows when some of these Basic CERT classes are available. They are generally held on two Saturdays to complete the training and are FREE. We are trying to get a class held in Seis Lagos, but that may take some time to arrange.

If you are interested in participating in a Seis Lagos emergency response team and would be willing to be trained or have already been trained, please contact David Stevens at yugtar@aol.com . If you would like more information on what this all would encompass, please respond also. If there is enough interest, we will schedule a preliminary meeting to discuss how we could each help our neighbors in an emergency.
Message from the ACC President

I am reaching out to the entire Seis Lagos Community to recruit members for the Architectural Control Committee.

The ACC commitment is usually no more than two to four hours per month including our monthly meetings. We meet the 2 nd Sunday of each month at 6:30 PM. Our monthly meetings last between one to two hours, depending on the ACC items to be reviewed and approved. Occasionally, it is necessary to walk a new home build to conduct a "Final Inspection".

If you are interested, please join the ACC at our next meeting, Sunday, 2/9/20 at 6:30 PM in the HOA conference room. In order to become a ratified member, you will need to attend 3 to 4 meetings consecutively, if at all possible. After that, if you are still interested in becoming a permanent member, I will send your request to the HOA Board. You will then go before HOA Board for a brief Q & A. Unless, there is an issue at that time, you will then be ratified by the HOA Board and become a voting member of the ACC.

Thank you in advance for your interest,
Andy James
Chairman, ACC Seis Lagos Community
Visitors & Contractors
Please notify the guard house in advance when you are expecting visitors or contractors at your home. This helps our guards direct the visitors/contractors to the appropriate address.

** When you are expecting multiple visitors, please provide a guest list in alphabetical order to the guard house.

Please remind your guests to stop at the guard house when entering the community. Your guests need to know the address they are traveling too.
Parking on Seis Lagos Streets
Please park all resident vehicles on the property driveway and please remind your guests to not park on both sides of the street.

Keeping open roads allows easy access for residents and emergency vehicles.

** Vehicles parked in the clubhouse parking lot must have authorization from the HOA office. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed.
Vehicles Without Stickers or New Vehicles

If your vehicle does not have a Seis Lagos sticker in the front window, please drive through the visitor side and check in with the safety officer.

If you need a Seis Lagos car sticker, please stop by the HOA office during normal business hours.
