Snell 2015 is a safety rating standard provided by the Snell Foundation, not a manufacture date. Snell updates the criteria every 5 years and helmets that were manufactured prior to the new standard carry the old sticker. These helmets were manufactured in the last couple of years and carry a full 5 year warranty from Arai. If you would like to know the build date of a specific helmet please reach out to us and we will pull one from our inventory to check for you. Arai did not have to make any changes to their helmets to pass the new rating, so the only difference between Snell 2015 and Snell 2020 Arai helmets is the sticker on the inside.
