It's no secret: the world is changing! College admissions is no exception. Many of the 'givens' in the college admissions process have shifted, and it's unlikely that we'll go back to what we'd accepted as 'normal.'
Take, for example, standardized tests. The Common Application reports that only 44% of students submitted SAT or ACT scores in 2020-21, compared to 77% in 2019-2020. That percentage will probably drop again this year. And the number of colleges and universities who have suspended test requirements, temporarily or permanently, grows each week.
Regardless, the college admissions process for a student (enrolled or homeschooled) remains fairly consistent, and, as always, it helps to start thinking about it well before the student enters their senior year.
