CMA Women in Medicine Community

Self-Care & Compassion Lunch

Sunday, August 1 | 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

For over 30 years, Dr. Barry Kerzin has been providing free medical care to the poor up to the highest Lamas, including HH Dalai Lama. His brain was studied at Princeton University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, as a long-term meditator. He was ordained as a Buddhist monk, synthesizing monk and doctor work through harmonizing mind and body, and lecturing around the world

This is an EXCLUSIVE and interactive event for the CMA Women in Medicine Community. Dr. Kerzin stresses that compassion is an active endeavor, not passive. He will discuss emotional hygiene – how do we manage anger, fear, jealousy, and arrogance, and how do we practice forgiveness and gratitude daily?
