Moving Earth on Amberly Place
Last July The Sembler Company broke ground on Amberly Place , a North Carolina shopping center which will augment Sembler’s growing footprint in the state.

The 77,000 square foot Publix-anchored neighborhood shopping center is located at the Northwest corner of Greenlevel Church Road and Carpenter Fire Station Road in the vibrant and growing municipality of Cary, North Carolina.
Upon completion, in addition to a new state of the art Publix grocery store, Amberly Place will feature a pedestrian-oriented design and a variety of retailers and restaurants. A much-anticipated Grand Opening will be held this October.

Interest in the project has been strong, and Sembler continues to look for the right users for this special project that will serve and enhance the community. To date, the is 60% leased, and three outparcels remain available.

Sembler currently owns and manages grocery-anchored centers in Raleigh and Charlotte and continues to seek other opportunities in North Carolina and throughout the SE United States.

Sembler, Forge Announce Retail Center Acquisition in Gainesville
The Sembler Company and Forge Capital Partners, in their Forge Real Estate Partners III (FREP) investment fund, recently purchased Gainesville Shopping Center, a 185,000-square-foot property located at the northwest corner of N. Main Street and N.W. 10th Avenue in Gainesville, Florida.
The center is currently 91% occupied, and anchored by Publix, Beauty Max and Family Dollar. “Northeast Gainesville is going through an exciting period of growth and transformation, and Gainesville Shopping Center is a well-established center anchored by Florida’s premier grocer,” said Sembler Chief Investment Officer Sean Davis. “It’s a great fit for our fund to add value through leasing and improvements.” “Sembler has a 54-year history operating in all aspects of retail real estate: acquisitions, leasing, management and development,” said Sembler CEO Ron Wheeler. “That considerable expertise adds value to our centers and the communities we serve.”
The Sembler Company will serve as Property Manager and Leasing Agent for the property.
Update on Puerto Rico

After Hurricane Maria hit the island last September, the resiliency of Puerto Rico is clear.
“Once we took care of our people and made sure they had everything they needed for themselves and their families, we began the process of repairing and reopening our centers,” Sembler CEO Ron Wheeler reports. “Our tenants have shown amazing resiliency in getting back to business and with most power and water services restored, the majority of our tenants are open and operating while we repair the damage.”
Sembler owns five properties on the island, including four with Forge Capital Partners, totaling over 575,000 square feet.”

LA Fitness to Anchor Dunedin Center
The Sembler Company recently announced that a new LA Fitness facility will anchor Weathersfield Commons, a neighborhood shopping center located at the corner of Main St. and Virginia St. in Dunedin, FL.
The center’s owner, Miami-based Jewell Capital, recently engaged Sembler to manage and lease the property.
“Sembler is looking forward to taking on this center – and we think LA Fitness will make a great addition,” said Sue Harker, Vice President of Property Management at Sembler.
The 34,000-square-foot LA Fitness facility is slated to open early 2018.
