Valuable Resources

Pediatric Coding Seminar Recording Posted

In October, CPP hosted a coding seminar featuring AAP coding expert Dr. Linda Parsi, MD, FAAP. We posted a recording of this seminar to the CPP website for a limited time so members can access it at their convenience.

Topics included:

  • Choosing the appropriate E/M level for common pediatric visits
  • Correctly coding sick visits, well visits, and combined encounters
  • Applying current coding updates and guidelines
  • Avoiding common documentation and coding errors

If you were unable to attend or would like to revisit the presentation, access the recording and additional resources on the CPP Coding & Billing resource page.

Kids Mental Health Foundation

The Kids Mental Health Foundation offers free, practical resources to help primary care providers support children and families facing common mental health challenges. Three guides focus on topics frequently encountered in pediatric practices:

  • Dealing with anxiety
  • Dealing with depression
  • Supporting your child with ADHD

These tools share psychoeducation, conversation starters, and practical strategies that clinicians can share with families to help them better understand and manage these conditions.

Reclaiming the Conversation on Childhood Vaccination: Virtual Workshop

Communicating about childhood vaccines can be challenging, especially when misinformation creates uncertainty and undermines trust.

Join the FrameWorks Institute on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 1–5 p.m. ET, for an interactive virtual workshop designed for public health professionals, immunization coalition leaders, science communicators, and advocates.

Led by Julie Sweetland, Katy Evans, and Nico Connolly, the workshop will explore research-based strategies for communicating effectively about childhood vaccines.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Spot Communication Traps: Identify common messaging traps that inadvertently activate skepticism, amplify misinformation, or trigger defensiveness.
  • Apply Tested Science Translation Tools: Use evidence-backed strategies to explain how immunity works, why vaccines matter, and sound vaccine policies in ways that resonate broadly with public audiences.
  • Master Clear Do's and Don’ts: Walk away with a checklist to help you spot missteps before you make them—and swap in powerful reframes.
