Obtaining a Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Certification allows minority- or women-owned businesses several benefits. This event is geared towards those businesses that are looking to learn more about the NYS MWBE Certification application process.
Topics to be discussed:
1. Does my company qualify as a MWBE?
2. The MWBE Certification application process
3. Benefits of being a minority or women owned business:
-- Business development training to compete for government contracts
-- Why large corporations and governmental entities hire MWBE certified companies
4. Other educational resources MWBEs can use to grow their businesses

MWBE Applicants who plan to apply or are in the process of applying for certification can meet one-on-one with a representative from the Division of Minority and Women's Business Development between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on December 12, 2016 at the Tech Garden.
