Sixty Seconds with the Superintendent

Each week, we receive questions for the Superintendent from students in pre-K through 12th grade. In this video series, Ms. Beamon will answer these questions and help our families and the community we serve get to know the leader of our public schools.

What's Cool in Our Schools

Flight Attendants Visit WSHS

During Winter Springs High School's credit check sessions with seniors and juniors, several students expressed interest in becoming flight attendants. As a result, their Student Services team coordinated a presentation with local flight attendants where students were able to learn more about the important role flight attendants have in ensuring the safety of passengers, and the duties they perform in flight.

These presentations were an extension of the school's initiative to promote the College & Career Fair experience for their students. They invite professionals within popular career fields (based on students’ interests) to share information about their educational pathways, training requirements, benefits, and risks of their professions.

Goldsboro Elementary Magnet Celebrates New Hydroponic Garden System

April 19 was a very special day for Goldsboro Elementary Magnet School. They hosted an official Ribbon Cutting and dedication ceremony for their new fruit and vegetable garden.

Goldsboro Magnet is the first elementary school in Seminole County to feature an outdoor hydroponic system. Special thanks to all of the community partners that made this possible.

We can't wait to see what amazing things our students grow in this updated space!
