At American Pharmacies, we are deeply committed to our mission to protect, defend, and enhance the business model of independent retail pharmacy. Advocacy plays a central role in fulfilling this mission – it’s more than just a priority for us; it’s in our DNA.
We have now carried the mission to Washington, D.C. Since 2023, American Pharmacies along with the lobby team at Roberti Global has been actively advocating for independent pharmacies in the nation’s capital. It has been an especially important time in the fight against PBM’s in the federal arena. Several concrete reforms passed in the January 2026 Consolidated Appropriations Bill (standardizing reasonable and relevant contract terms in Medicare contracts, delinking PBM compensation, defining essential retail pharmacies). Additional bills to improve reimbursement in Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE and Federal employee plans are all pending. There is a lot of work for us to do.
In 2025 we took our advocacy a step further with the creation of the American Pharmacies Federal Political Action Committee (APFEDPAC).
We would like the opportunity to share more information about the APFEDPAC with you. However, federal election rules require us to obtain your written consent before we can reach out regarding the PAC.
Please take a moment to complete the online approval form. Completing the form does not obligate you to contribute; it merely permits us to communicate with you about the PAC and provide you with more detailed information.
Once completed, we can let you know of special opportunities for federal insights available to contributors. Only American Pharmacies members can contribute to APFEDPAC.
If you have any questions or need assistance with the form, please don’t hesitate to contact us at federalpac@aprx.org. If you filled out this form last year, it is not necessary to send in another one.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership!
