Conservative Excellence Award

Senator Ford was honored to receive the Conservative Excellence Award from the American Conservative Union.

Big Day for Rowan County and NC!

On Tuesday of this week, Senator Ford celebrated the day when Rowan became a county in April 12th 1753, which was named after the Colonial Governor Matthew Rowan. And on April 12th in 1776, North Carolina became the first colony to call for independence from Great Britain.

Badin Elementary School Visit

On Tuesday of this week, Senator Ford was able to meet four school groups from Badin Elementary School. He took them along with teachers and parents onto the Senate and House chamber floors. He enjoyed seeing the students' enthusiasm and being able to answer their questions.

Mount Ulla Elementary and West Rowan School Visit

On Wednesday of this week, Senator met with multiple groups from Mount Ulla Elementary School and West Rowan Elementary School. He was able to take them onto the Senate Floor, where he shared some facts about the Senate. He also was able to take them onto the House Floor, where he was happy to answer any questions the students had.

Kannapolis Farmers Market Seeking Vendors for Summer 2022

The Kannapolis Farmers Market is looking for vendors. If you are a farmer, artisan, crafter, or baker we would love for you to participate in the market.   The market is looking for people who offer a wide variety of fresh local produce, as well as cheese, ice cream, honey, baked goods, spices, jewelry, soaps, candies, crafts, pottery, handcrafted wood items, art and more. Vendors pay an annual membership fee of $30, and a weekly rental fee of $10 per 14’ space.   The market is open May thru September and operates every Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the corner of Vance Avenue and Dale Earnhardt Boulevard.   For more information on the Farmers Market visit www.kannapolisnc.gov/farmersmarket.
