Senator Rhett's Bill SB 218

On the way to Governor Kemp's Desk!

My Senate Bill, SB 218, passed out of the Georgia Senate unanimously with a vote of 56 to 0!

Every senator voted for the bill.

SB 218 passed out of the Georgia State House unanimously with a vote of 171 to 0!

Every representative in the house voted for the bill.

SB 218 will provide inmates from Georgia State Prisons an opportunity to obtain a driver license or state identification card upon release.

The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Senior Citizen Council of Cobb featured Georgia legislators.

Discussions focused on current health programs and services for Cobb seniors. Attendees were able to ask questions of the Senator and Representative which addressed their individual concerns and situations.

Senator Rhett presented a Senate Proclamation to the Senior Citizen Council for having been operating for 50 years.

 “BE IT RESOLVED that the Georgia Senate recognize and commend the Senior Citizen Council of Cobb County upon the grand occasion of its 50th anniversary and extend sincere best wishes for continued success.”
Stars to light up Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre for anniversary

The Mable House Barnes Amphitheater is celebrating its 20th anniversary of bringing top-quality entertainment to Cobb. The venue has announced a star-studded variety of acts for the upcoming season, with tickets already on sale. The first concert of the season will be held Saturday, May 6, featuring American Idol stars Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken performing their 'TWENTY the Tour'.

Subsequent performances include jazz, R&B, soul, and hip-hop stars such as Brian McKnight, Ashanti, Goodie Mob, 8 Ball, MJG, Peabo Bryson, and Big Daddy Kane. See the full schedule of concerts below:
