WE ARE MEETING

This Wednesday at NOON

Oklahoma History Center

This Wednesday

JAMES LANKFORD

WILL ADDRESS THE

VARIOUS THREATS TO

AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY

U.S. Senator James Lankford will be stepping out of a committee hearing this Wednesday to connect with our luncheon by a live video feed regarding the most current issues at play in the Senate.

THE BORDER CRISIS IS

TOP ON HIS AGENDA

He has described that is going on at the U.S.-Mexican border as "total chaos," and states that "The southern border is completely out of control. Unfortunately, this administration doesn't seem to care."

Senator Lankford will speak about the refusal of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, to close the border which is flooding our local communities with illegal, debilitating, and often lethal drugs.

He will update us live from Washington this Wednesday.

ALSO THIS WEDNESDAY ...

CECILIA JOHNSON

Cecilia Johnson is in Oklahoma to speak for the Frederick Douglass Republicans of Oklahoma. Because she will not fly out of town until our meeting is over, she will say a few words to us after we hear from Senator Lankford.

Cecilia was selected by the Donald Trump for President campaign to sit on the advisory board of Blacks for Trump. She serves as the National Director of Engagement for the Republican National Committee.

You may find her book, The Life of the Party: Memoirs of the Hood Conservative here.

AT THE TIME OF PUBLICATION

AN O.U. SOFTBALL PLAYER

HAS BEEN INVITED

At the time of publication, an invitation has been extended for one of the O.U. softball players to come to the History Center and talk about the thrill of a third straight national championship.

We had hoped to have confirmation before our publication deadline, but we remain hopeful.

Sooner coach, Patty Glasso is a devout Christian woman who has brought pride and dignity to Oklahoma through women's softball.

STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

THIS MONTH! Thursday, June 22 9:00 am ODE Meeting

BOB LINN

Christian Liberty in Education

I ended the week last Friday with a lunch with former Governor Frank Keating. On his heart was the issue front and center in the news regarding the fuss being made by the Attorney General over a parent’s right in Oklahoma to send their child to a Christian school using their personal tax credits.

In the crosshairs of the political left is the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School which will open next year (fall of 2024).

WSJ article here. National Review article here.

It is curious that the secularist thinks his theological void represents a culturally “neutral” position leaving all others laden with religious and philosophical baggage making them unclean for “public dollars.”

There are no ideological presuppositions, from atheism to Christianity, void of religious and philosophical content.

Of course, Atheism is a latecomer in the history of thought.

Secular philosopher Michael Onfray states that the beginning of true atheism began in the 18th century with the 1629 publication of Jean Meslier’s Thoughts and Feelings of Jean Mesler.

Since, Atheism has done nothing

to engender cultural flourishing.

The major contribution of atheism has been in the political realm where it has produced misery, torture, and death for hundreds of millions of those living under its tyranny.

Atheism’s impoverished secular thought has done nothing to further scientific discovery. The explosion of knowledge produced in the scientific revolution was the product of the many individual thinkers who were devout Christian men like Kepler, Euler, and Galileo.

Galileo to the Grand Dutchess:

To prohibit science would be to censure a hundred passages of holy Scripture which teach us that the glory and the greatness of Almighty God are marvelously discerned in his works and divinely read in the open book of heaven.

This explosion of knowledge was, however, due to more than the many Christian leaders in science.

Aiding the process was the general Christian

culture which pervaded all of Europe.

In the words of Oswald Spengler:

The style of any mathematic which comes into being depends wholly on the culture in which it is rooted, the sort of mankind that ponders it.

What an individual or culture believes concerning the origin, purpose and destiny of the cosmos affects the way mathematics is viewed and, ultimately, the way mathematics progresses.

Rousas Rushdoony wrote:

Under the influence of Christianity, science escaped from magic.

This was not the faith of a few. It was the faith that defined Europe’s medieval culture.

In the words of Alfred Lord Whitehead:

Remember that I am not talking about the explicit beliefs of a few individuals. What I mean to impress on the European mind arising form the unquestioned faith of centuries.

The shift from a Christian identity to atheistic materialism is foisted upon the American educational system and sold as a culturally and philosophically “neutral” position.

Atheistic materialism is not neutral

Secularism is not void of religion

These are failed mythological systems containing presuppositions and epistemologies just like any other religion.

The ubiquity of the secularist voices in American culture has shielded most from its weaknesses.

French Encyclopédie française, written in collaboration with all leading French biologists, makes this statement that you will find never repeated in American academia. They wrote:

It follows from this presentation that the theory of evolution is impossible … Evolution is the kind of dogma in which its priests no longer believe but which they keep presenting to their people.

Secularism is a religiously biased mindset that has not presented the kind of broad and revolutionary research completed in the realm of a Christian culture.

In spite of all the rhetoric of the Attorney General, secular education has no more right to dominate Oklahoma’s schools than any other ideology.

And, in spite of Christianity’s lead in history’s scorecard of cultural prosperity, it is the parent, and not government, who has the moral right to decide how to use his educational tax dollar to educate his child.

The family will benefit from the private education funds taken from the taxpayer held on behalf of the children to be spend as the parent, whether Muslim, Christian, or atheist, decide.

The government’s education bank accounts represent fiduciary monies collected from the private sector earmarked for use by the parents to educate their children as they wish.

Christian liberty insists, unlike the AG, that no parent be forced into an educational system he has not freely chosen. Whether the parent is Muslim, Jew, Christian, or Atheist, the parent, and only the parent, has the right to select where his children’s educational funds are used.

For that reason, Oklahoman’s voices have overwhelmingly spoken that government must allow for parental choice. Forced enrollment in government school is government dictating the ideological mythology of secularism under the guise of “neutrality.”

A few thousand of you read this newsletter each week. I would challenge you to connect with us through our meetings, or by email and get involved in bolstering the Christian cultural foundations of Oklahoma that we may cast a light on our nation, the last bastion of freedom in the world.

Christianity is the very foundation of human thought.

It is the foundation of free & prosperous societies.

We are in desperate need of returning

our nation and our state to Biblical foundations.

Thank you for your activism.
