Hafa Adai Catherine,

This weekend was full of great community events and activities, including our very own Chamber Games and Thrill of the Grill competition held on Saturday, November 9th, at Leo Palace Resort Guam in Yona. Eleven Chamber teams took to the field to compete in a series of fun games designed to foster teamwork, camaraderie, and friendly competition. The Thrill of the Grill BBQ competition pit together five-member competitors, adding a flavorful twist to the day, The event not only brought members together for fun and competitive spirit but also to raise awareness and funding for the David J. Santos Scholarship, benefiting students at the University of Guam School of Business and Public Administration. It was a great time and almost all the competitors asked if we could do this all again next year!

Board Election Ballots will be sent out on Monday morning, November 11, 2024. One ballot will be sent to the most senior executive of your company or your designee. Additionally, members must be in good standing with membership dues to vote. If you did not receive a ballot, please give our office a call or send us an email so we can help you locate the ballot or send you a new link.

Our Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th and Chairman Ernie Galito will provide his end-of-the-year remarks, I will report on the state of the Chamber and we will learn the results of the Board elections. The meeting will take place at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa with a buffet lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. It won't be the same without you so I hope to see you there! The RSVP link is available if you would like to save your sport today!

Monday is Veterans Day. A time we set aside to honor our military servicemen and women who served and continue to serve our country and our island with honor and bravery. There aren’t enough words to show our gratitude for all the troops who served our country. After their service, many veterans serve our community differently, many of whom are our very own Chamber members. In respect of your sacrifice, your service, and more, we send our sincerest and most humble Un Dångkulu na Si Yu'os Ma'åse.

Onward together,

Catherine Castro

Meet the 2025 Chamber Board Candidates

The Guam Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that twelve distinguished members are vying for the esteemed positions on the Board of Directors for the year 2025. As the Chamber embarks on this critical electoral process, it is essential to note that only seven seats will be available on the Board. Among the candidates, five individuals are slated to serve three-year terms, while the remaining two positions will serve a one-year term.

We encourage all members to engage in the election process and consider the significant impact these potential Board members would have on the direction of the Chamber and the broader business community in Guam.

Board candidates recorded a brief video to explain why they are seeking a seat on the Chamber Board. You can view the video here.
