Saying goodbye to the 190s
Season's greetings to you and yours!

Greetings!

Howdy from snowy Portland. Here is my monthly e-letter which usually comes out on the 11th of each month. If you wish to unsubscribe or change to a different branch of my output - please click on the Update Profile link below.

I got a very strong message on election night. It was - "Albert, take good care of your health - it's time to get in better shape". That was one of my take-aways and I listened and for the past 15 days I've been on a guided simple satvic cleanse - led ably by my nextdoor neighbor. Yes, there are dark forces at work in the universe at the moment and I'm well aware of how scary and awful they are.. And - one can't lead well if one is not healthy and I've been overweight for way way way too long!

The cleanse looks something like this.  In the morning we drink vitamineral green drink with shilajit in it - and some other nutrients.  Then, it's mostly fruit - we eat citrus separately - ie not mixing grapes/mango/apples with tangerines/grapefruit!  Every other day we'll cook a satvic food - soup or salad/roasted root combos. To be honest I'm a complete novice about what this even means, but I'm excited to learn more. Evening is Earth drink or more fruit.

A sattvic diet generally consists of:

fresh, organic fruit and vegetables.
whole grains and nuts.
dairy products such as milk and ghee. (no dairy right now)

beans and lentils.

plant-based oils.

mildly sweet foods (natural, unrefined sugars), honey, molasses.

spices such as cinnamon, basil, coriander, ginger and turmeric.

That's it. Every once in awhile we'll have a Reishi drink. Or, some 100% cacao bar or other treat (a couple days ago I ate some brazil nuts!).

So far this has led to losing 10 lbs (I intend to go until at least the 20th of December). I also noticed that after the first 3-5 days I wasn't feeling the dietary change too much and I wasn't feeling cravings for anything. I have felt mildly disoriented from time to time - but I'm probably just disoriented because I'm not putting food into my mouth at the rate I'm used to. I'm not eating out as much as I usually do - that's come way down.

Overall, it's been a very interesting experience and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Happy Hanukkah 2016
This year Hanukkah starts on Xmas eve. Will you please share this image around? I would so appreciate it. If you seek a Hanukkah party on 12.24 in Portland - please let me know :)
2016 December Marketing and Holiday Planning
My business continues to go well. If you or someone you know needs a hand with getting a holiday message out the door in the next couple weeks, I'd be glad to help.

I'm also offering free marketing coaching sessions to give back to the community. If you'd like some time with me picking my brains about what I know, the tools I use, and what I think of what you're doing - please get in touch. Sessions generally happen in or near my house in SE Portland or via Skype/Google Hangouts.
Have a great holiday
The world might feel a little like's it's unraveling, lately. Here's an article I wrote about that which might provide some comfort and guidance.

Remember to take care of your health - that's priority #1. ***

I'm feeling a lot of gratitude, lately. To you who have supported me in so many ways through the years. This year I'm really feeling it - thank you!

One of my passions is music. This year I'm spending NYE (4 days) singing and strumming at PSGW - Puget Sound Guitar Camp. There may still be some openings if you'd like to come spend time playing music together on NYE weekend. And, have a look at PSGW - it's a treasure.

Take care and be well,

Love,

Albert
