Season's greetings to you and yours from your friends at ROAR!

Dear Friends,

As we are entering the last part of this unusual and unpredictable year, many of us are looking forward to closing the door on 2020, while others are hopeful for the prospects of what 2021 may bring. Either way, we are very grateful to those who have supported our mission at Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue. Whether you have opened your home and adopted a cat or dog from the Donofrio Family Animal Shelter, have given your time as a ROAR volunteer to make a difference in animal's lives, or have generously made a financial donation to help us continue to rescue animals in need, we are forever thankful. Your contributions have made a difference.

Here at the shelter, as always, we have been busy finding homes for pets who are without one. But we are also planning some exciting events for December. So far this month, we have already had an adoption event hosted at Weichert Realtors, and an online information session on bringing a new dog into your home hosted by Canine Company. For the remainder of the month we are participating in Founder's Hall Light-Fight event, have a shopping event to benefit ROAR held at J.McLaughlin, and bringing in new transports of cats & dogs while giving them the care that they need so that we can prepare them for adoption. See below for details.

As the year draws to a close, we hope you all remain safe and we wish you and your families good health. We will get through this together and look forward to new beginnings in the coming year. Happy Holidays to everyone!

When you adopt an animal from ROAR, you are saving two lives.
The one you adopt, and the one that takes it's place.

This couldn't be more true at our shelter. And, this year has been a busy one for adoptions. In fact, we just received another transport of cats & dogs from a couple of our partner rescue groups. Take a look at some of these beautiful pets who will soon be available.

Just like the pets currently in your homes, these lives are important too! When rescues arrive at our shelter, there is lots of works to be done by our staff and volunteers before we can find homes for them. We evaluate all the animals that come through our doors, provide needed medical care, give them training, and make sure all are fed a healthy diet of nutritious food that meets their needs. Only then, do we begin our search for their forever home.
Check our adoption page to see the current list of available pets.
2020 has been a year of challenges and changes for all of us. Through it all, Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue has remained a constant in continuing our mission of rescuing dogs & cats and placing them into loving forever homes. We cannot accomplish our life-saving work without the help of our supporters. We are lucky to have people like you, who share our passion for improving the future of homeless animals.
