January 2023

A November to remember

Last November, the Seneca Alumni team hosted our first in-person alumni networking events for students and graduates from the School of Accounting & Finance (pictured right) and the School of Marketing (pictured above).

We also welcomed a record number of new graduates at the fall convocation ceremonies and celebrated six outstanding alumni at the 2022 Premier's Awards.

It was great to reconnect in-person and we look forward to inviting more graduates back in 2023.

Get Involved

Thank you to our generous Seneca community who supported the Feed to Succeed Fund, Seneca’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Fund and the Alumni Pay It Forward Bursary last fall.

A total of $5,140 in donations and matching gifts were raised for the Feed to Succeed Fund in support of the Seneca Student Federation food banks and Seneca Soup, a program that provides students with free soup at any Seneca cafeteria.

To date, the Seneca Soup program has served over 16,000 bowls of soup to 4,715 students.

We are also happy to share Seneca’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Fund received $3,335 in donations and matching gifts to help ensure every student has access to education and is given the same opportunities to succeed. To date, 232 students have benefitted from awards specifically created for equity-deserving students.

The Alumni Pay It Forward Bursary benefitted from $6,190 in donations and matching gifts helping deserving students with much-needed financial aid. To date, over 500 financially struggling students have received a bursary.

We are so #SenecaProud of the many ways our alumni continue to support our students.

An anonymous donor will match all gifts, up to $30,000, until March 31, 2023. If you can help, there is still time to double your impact and help our students reach their goals. Thank you.
