Faculty, alumni and donors awarded Senecans of Distinction
Eight recipients were honoured with a 2020 Senecans of Distinction Award at Newnham Campus on Feb. 13.

Alumnus and professor Phillip Jang, Social Service Worker (SSW), received the award for his work in a number of community projects, including the Red Dot Project, which won a Sustainable Development Goals Recognition Award from the Toronto branch of the United Nations Association of Canada.

“The communities have taught, motivated and supported me in all of the work I've done,” said Mr. Jang. “My name is interchangeable with them when I look at this award.”

Thank you to affinity program partner TD Insurance, a proud sponsor of this event.

Feed to Succeed Distribution
More than 1,800 students enjoyed a tasty surprise in January. The annual Feed to Succeed campaign saw the Advancement & Alumni team and alumni employee volunteers hand out snack and drink care packages at King, Markham, Newnham, Seneca@York and Yorkgate campuses.

The campaign is made possible thanks to alumni donations and dollar-for-dollar matching by MBNA Canada and Aramark.
