Small business feature: Kodak Lens Vision Centres


Starting this month, Seneca Alumni will highlight an alumni entrepreneur and showcase their small business in our alumni communications.


Taylor Chung, a proud Seneca alumnus of the Opticianry program, co-owns and operates Kodak Lens Vision Centres with seven locations across Toronto and the GTA. Their independent eye care clinics are dedicated to providing exceptional vision care and memorable experiences for their clients. They also offer discounted eye exams and eyewear for students, with coverage available through vision insurance.

Alumni profile: Stephanie Henry


Stephanie Henry’s drive led her to being an on-air personality and an auto expert.


The Breakfast Television traffic reporter and Cityline automotive guest expert carved out a niche for herself after graduating from Seneca Polytechnic’s Journalism diploma program.

Following early stints covering traffic, she decided to also dive into mechanics and in December 2021, she started her own company, She Auto Know, to empower women to learn more about their vehicles.

Donor profile: Marcus Udokang


Marcus Udokang’s come a long way since graduating from Seneca Polytechnic.


As the owner of Calgary-based Aivaz Consulting, a content development and design company, he’s built on the skills he first learned in the Computer Systems Technician diploma program in the early 2000s.


His success led him to give back to his alma mater and in 2014 he established the Marcus Udokang Computer Science Award to support full-time Seneca computer science students with high academic standings and financial need.

Seneca Polytechnic introduces first three-year degree programs in its history


Seneca Polytechnic is introducing the first three-year bachelor’s degrees in its history as part of a slate of eight new programs for the 2024-25 academic year. 


The Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Science – Cosmetic Science programs draw on Seneca’s strong history of providing a great polytechnic education, offering students a combination of academic rigour and career-based education that will prepare them for success.
