The power of manufacturing
Glenn Richardson
It was great to have almost 300 people attend our annual meeting this year, up from 225 our first year. The power of manufacturing was clearly a theme.

For both the state of Ohio and for Seneca County, investment and jobs in manufacturing leads the way. Keynote speaker Glenn Richardson from JobsOhio talked about how industry added more jobs (4,000) and investment ($700 million) than any other sector in the state in 2014.

For 2014, in Seneca County, manufacturers invested $42 million, more than all other sectors combined, and more than 1,000 jobs were created or retained. And, in the last four years, we've added more than 600 new jobs, a 17% increase in the industrial workforce - and it's growing twice as fast as any other sector.
