  • The Mountain View Library Bookmobile will return to the Senior Center on Wednesday, October 12 at 12:30 p.m. Moving forward after October 12, the Bookmobile will be at Senior Center EVERY OTHER Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. (October 26)

Indoor Dining
Community Services Agency’s Senior Nutrition Program has a full dine in meal distribution in the Social Hall of the Mountain View Senior Center. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Sign in will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served starting at 11:45 a.m. The Social Hall will close at 1 p.m.

Grab and go will no longer be offered. Contact Meals on Wheels Mountain View at 650-323-2022 for home delivery from the County of Santa Clara.

Maximum seating for movies is 36. First come, first serve.
When available, screenings have captions for the hard-of-hearing. There is no fee to enjoy these popular movies and seating begins 30 minutes before the show.
NOTE: Please bundle up or bring a lap blanket with you to the movie. The room tends to be on the cooler side.

Do you have ESP? See if you can sense how many candies are in the special Halloween candy count jar at the Front Desk beginning Monday, October 17. The winner will receive a very spooktacular prize: the jar of candy! One guess per person. Winner will be announced on Monday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m.

Senior Adults Legal Assistance
SALA has returned to in-person appointments at the Senior Center on the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. In order to receive free legal services, patrons must be at least 60 years of age and a Santa Clara County resident. To schedule an appointment please call the Senior Center Front Desk at 650-903-6330. 
HICAP
Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program
HICAP provides free and objective information and counseling about Medicare. Appointments are available on the third Monday and the fourth Tuesday of each month. Volunteer counselors can help you understand your specific rights and health care options. To schedule an appointment, stop by the Front Desk or call 650-903-6330.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers will continue free assistance on Wednesdays October 5 and 19, 2022 from 9 - 11 a.m. These will be the last appointments this year. Assistance is for moderate income seniors needing help with tax returns. An IRS certified counselor will help prepare your 2019, 2020, and/or 2021 return and e-file them free of charge. To make your appointment, stop by or call the Front Desk at 650-903-6330.
Second Harvest of Silicon Valley
The Second Harvest Free Grocery Program has resumed indoor distribution in Multipurpose Room A. The Program will operate from 8:30 – 10 a.m. on the first through fourth Tuesday of each month. To register for Second Harvest please call 1-800-984-3663.
FAREWELL, NOT GOODBYE
Alejandra Hernandez left the Senior Center and moved to the Community Center effective September 26, 2022. She joined the Senior Center May 2017 and her positive outlook was felt immediately. Alejandra always welcomed everyone with a smile and planned great workshops and events. We wish her the best going forward.
