May 2020
Updates, virtual classes, & activities
Scheduling of our spring/summer events are currently 'to be determined' due to the ongoing shelter in place rules which have been extended through May. It is likely that Seniors Night Out and Taste of the Coast will be canceled for 2020 unless a suitable date can be found later in the year. We hope to complete urgent home repair projects on an ongoing basis throughout the shelter in place and will be reaching out to our volunteers and clients to assess their comfort levels for those activities. We hope to re-schedule our annual Home Repair Day later in the year. Homeowners can request a home repair application by calling 650-726-9056.
Coastside Gives - May 7th - Please support Senior Coastsiders during this 24 hour online giving challenge during which we will raise funds for our home delivered meal program, keeping seniors safe and at home during the pandemic. Donations of any amount can be made between now and Thursday, May 7th by going to seniorcoastsiders.org. However, from 11:00am to 12:00pm on the 7th , every donation will increase our chance of winning an additional $1,000 during our POWER HOUR challenge. Please spread the word!
Census 2020 - You should have received a mailed invitation to respond to the census and you can respond online, by phone, or by mail. It is critical that we all be counted to ensure federal funding for our community!

Books and DVD's - We have a small collection of books and DVD's to loan out from the Senior Coastsiders office. We wipe down all DVDs as they are returned before putting them back into the collection. Please let us know if you would like to come by (masks required) to pick up a few things.

AARP Tax Appointments - AARP Foundation Tax-Aide wants to ensure client safety. The potential for tax appointments will be re-visited at the end of May. Please call our office for any updates at that time.
