The Colorado Dental Health Care Program for Low-Income Seniors (Senior Dental Program) grants funds to agencies to provide low-cost dental care to low-income aging adults, age 60 and over, who are not eligible for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) and do not have private dental insurance. Qualified Grantees of the Senior Dental Program determine if an aging adult qualifies to receive services under the program.

The Governor extended and amended Executive Order D25 01 due to the current budget crisis and this will affect the Senior Dental Program. You may review the HCPF FY 2025-26 HCPF Budget Reductions Fact Sheet. The grant funding for the current fiscal year (FY2025-26) has been reduced by $500,000 and the grant allocation for FY2026-27 will be reduced by $2 million, allocating $1,962,510 instead of $3,962,510 for FY2026-27. All grantees allocated grant funds for FY2025-26 were reduced on October 31, 2025.

For current grantees to remain in the Senior Dental Program for FY2026-27 they must submit a new Grant Application by February 2, 2026. The January DAC meeting will be held and the DAC will be discussing the reduction in funds due to the current budget crisis.
