When You Need a Hand at Home!

It's Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month!

Caring for Our Elders

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month

It's time to "Go Purple" and shine a light on the millions living with memory loss. At Caring Companions Kalamazoo, we know that an Alzheimer's diagnosis affects the entire family, not just the individual.

Our specialized memory care is designed to ease that journey. We focus on the "timeless art of caregiving"—using calming redirection, reminiscence therapy, and specialized safety monitoring to help seniors stay in the comfort of their own homes. Whether you need a few hours of respite or 24/7 support, we are here to help your loved one age with dignity. Join us this month in raising awareness and supporting those on the journey.

June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

In Kalamazoo County, we believe every senior deserves to live with dignity, security, and the respect they’ve earned throughout their lives. The 2026 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) theme is “The Power of Connection: Breaking Isolation, Preventing Abuse and Growing the Conversation.

Abuse isn't always physical; it can be financial exploitation, emotional neglect, or isolation. One of the best ways to protect our seniors is through consistent presence.

Today, we wear purple to show our support. Let’s work together to keep our Kalamazoo neighbors safe.
