CMS to Discontinue Hospice Component of VIBD Model in 2025



On March 4th, 2024 that the  Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will be discontinuing the Hospice Component of Medicare Advantage in the Value-Based Insurance Design (VBID) Model- effective December 31, 2034.

They will still continue the VBID Model with the same goals of enhancing care coordination and optimizing cost for Medicare beneficiaries.
