East Friendship Baptist Church (EFBC) is prayerfully seeking God's choice for the position of Senior Pastor to lead a congregation of approximately 200 active members. We believe that it is God who calls pastors to shepherd His people (Jeremiah 3:15).
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preaching, teaching, and caring for the needs of God's people through prayer, counseling, performing wedding ceremonies, conducting funerals, and dedicating babies. Providing ministry wherever needed, including visiting the sick and shut-in. Administering the church ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Inspiring and motivating church members to operate in a spirit of excellence while using their gifts and talents for God. Presiding over all church business meetings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Licensed and ordained minister with Pastoral compassion
● Minimum of a Bachelor's and a Master of Divinity degrees from an accredited theological school
● Pastoral or staff ministerial experience of at least 10 years to include experience with Youth Ministry
● Ability to inspire and transform lives through the skillful preaching, teaching,
interpretation and application of the Holy Bible
● Superior communication skills
● Personal Integrity, prayerful, and wise
● Commitment to community action and social justice
● Ability to work with and lead teams of clergy, staff, and ministry leaders to enhance efficiency and implement vision
● High business acumen and strong business principles, practices and ethics
● Ability to attract and retain new members
