Senior Graduate Quilt Salute

This Sunday, we celebrate the milestone of recognizing and sending off our high school graduates: Wylie, Joshua, Isaac, Harry, Shalyn, Benjamin, Ronald, Jonathan, Erika, Emitt, and Kam.

We give thanks to our loving Lord God Almighty for these students, their families, and the faithful support of their parents throughout the years.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the talented and dedicated women who lovingly made this year’s quilts: Amy Bye, Donna Schlatter, Pam Marsh, Diane Monroe, Jane Schmidt, Gail Williamson, and Jan Bruns.

A special thank-you goes to Jan Bruns, who has faithfully organized the creation of these quilts for the past 23 years, and to Donna Schlatter for her devoted support of Jan this year. What a beautiful labor of love!

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers. May God bless our graduates, their families, and all of our families in Christ.

Men's Service Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity on Saturday morning, May 16th, to follow in God's calling to help out a single woman in our church. Teck Kosieracki has asked us men if we could help in painting the eaves on her single-story home. We will meet at Teck's house at 8:00 am - Address: 412 N. Longbow Dr. Peoria, IL 61604. We really would like as many men as can help, so that we can get done as soon as possible.

Please bring painting supplies if you have them - favorite brush, roller, etc. We will have supplies also if you don't have that stuff. Also, if you can bring a standard 8 ft ladder would be helpful. Please text Mark Briggs at 309-231-2995.

RightNow Media Series

RightNow Media is a wonderful resource available to our members offering a wide range of topics. Every month we plan to suggest a video series and provide a guide for individual learning and reflection.

Our recommendation for May is: How Do We Live as Christians? by Kyle Idleman.

The term “Christian” first appeared around 60-64AD in Antioch. In Acts 11:26 this term distinguished Jesus followers from other Jewish sects. “Follow me” (Matt 4:19) is one of the foundational commands we’ve been given. On Pentecost, May 24, 2026 we will remember and celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to faithfully follow Jesus. In this six-session series, pastor and bestselling author Kyle Idleman will help us answer the question, “How do we live as Christians?” Kyle will help us answer some of the other questions that follow and that are essential to living faithfully as Christians. Regardless of where we’re at on our faith journey, Kyle will teach us what it looks like to live a Christian life.

If you do not yet have a RightNowMedia account, see Jeff Shoumaker to be linked with Redeemer’s subscription.
