When You Wish Upon a Star
There are many things to learn and enjoy while we're on earth, but rarely can you learn about, enjoy and be calmed by the same topic. Take a trip to the stars this week and find out more than you ever knew before!
We have come a long way over time and now we even have the ability to look at the stars, project constellations over top and even view satellites as they go by with this virtual planetarium! The planetarium utilizes your location (with a stock picture) to show the stars you can see in the sky! Using your mouse, you can gaze around the sky at the various stars and even look through Earth to see other stars and planets as well. The other controls are on the bottom of the screen, which allow you to control seeing constellation maps, light level and even control the clock (right side), so you can go back in time to see the sky on your birthday or other significant day!
While the planetarium only allows you to see the stars, planets and deep space objects, with a little information if you click on them, this NASA site gives a breakdown on stars if you want to learn more. From how they are formed to their lifespan to even their ultimate fate, there's a lot to delve into!
