Our world and the wars on it were forever changed during the 1930's and 40's when research and production on the world's first nuclear weapons began. In response, the United States began the Manhattan Project in 1942 to begin our foray into nuclear weapons. By the time Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1945, the Project had been a success and the United States was prepared to launch a counter-offensive. Following the project, we've gone through periods that included acquiring all the nuclear capabilities as possible to nuclear disarmament.
