Local Trips to Enjoy!
With life continuing to trend more and more towards the normal we remember prior to March 2020, now's the time to make some plans for summer! There's a lot to do in our surrounding area, whether you're trying to entertain your grandchildren, enjoy time with your significant other or if you just want to have a nice day by yourself!

Free Options

  • Abington Art Center - Fun and free both indoors and outdoors! Enjoy the outdoor sculpture park in the warm summer months and if it's raining, head inside the Alverthorpe Manor to experience the free art inside!
  • Five Saints Distilling - A tour of a distillery is right around the corner! Free tours behind the scenes of the process taken by Five Saints to create their spirits and the history of their building occurs every Saturday!
  • Colonial Theatre - On the first and third Saturday of each month, the Colonial Theatre holds a free tour of the iconic theatre!
  • Bryn Mawr Film Institute - On the first Monday of each month, there is a free showcase of local filmmakers. A bit on the late side at 9:15pm, but a fun option to explore!
  • Valley Forge National Historical Park - If you're a historical buff or you just enjoy scenic views/walks, Valley Forge Park is a great place to visit!

Other Options
  • Morris Arboretum - If you really enjoy the outdoors and beauty, look no further than our local Arboretum! With fantastic events and exhibits, you're bound to find something you will truly enjoy there.
  • Adventure Aquarium - A bit further than our other options, but beholding the glory of life underwater is never a let-down! Plus, you can get discount tickets from your favorite parks and recreation department!
  • Highlands Mansion & Gardens - A beautiful historical site with a lot of land and so much to see is in our township! Register for a tour for only $5!
