Senior Salute

Thank you seniors and your families for a brilliant 4 years. We hope to send you off with a song (or a dance) in your heart.

We will never forget you.
Choir Recap

Thank you to everyone for your hard work, perseverance, and support during these past few months. Our weekly Zoom meetings were one of the true highlights of each week for me. It was a time to connect, catch up, laugh, listen to and discuss wonderful choral music, and keep up with our sight-reading, vocal technique, and music theory. I loved listening to your solo song projects, and to your online “auditions”. And in partnership with the seniors, it was great to figure this whole “virtual choir” thing out. I’m glad we could make your Senior Song possible during this time. So, without further ado, on this morning of your graduation, I invite you to join me in watching the Senior Class of 2020 present “For Good”! -Ms. Rowley

Cleaning Your Instrument:  Summer is a great time to send in your instrument for any necessary repairs. Most music stores are open but call ahead to check on their hours. If your instrument is in working condition, you may want to consider thoroughly cleaning it. Make sure to purchase all swabs, cloths, brushes, and other necessary supplies so that you have them ready to go for next year.  Here is some information on how to properly clean and disinfect instruments in the covid-era.

Virtual Xanadu
From the WIAA and WMEA Executive Directors

Dear Solo and Ensemble State Contest Qualifiers,
Congratulations on successfully qualifying for State by being a winner, 1st or 2nd alternate at your region contest. We are very sorry the opportunity to finish at a statewide culminating event was taken away due to COVID-19. The WIAA has worked diligently to provide opportunities to celebrate all competitors, especially our seniors. In this vein, we are offering all region contest winners and alternates the opportunity to purchase memorabilia apparel to commemorate your accomplishments. If you are interested, please proceed to Rush Team Apparel’s ordering page.

For those of you that will return to compete next year, we hope you earn another opportunity to participate at the State Championships. For those of you that are seniors, we hope you will still cherish the memories of preparing and qualifying for a State Championship, as sometimes the journey is more rewarding than the destination.
Stay safe and healthy.
