Senior Services in District 2 |
Dear Council District 2,
According to the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation, it is predicted that in the next 30 years, the overall Chula Vista population will increase by 20%, with seniors comprising 76% of that growth. Did you know that Council District 2 is home to the City's largest amount of senior residents? Because of this, we are committed to providing and promoting services that make life more comfortable for older adults in and around our District.
Our November #2 issue covered the variety of services offered to our disabled community—many of which are seniors. In this issue, we will highlight the different resources for seniors in District 2. Keep reading for updates on activities, events, and more. If we missed anything, feel free to email us and let us know.
Don't forget to join us in Downtown Chula Vista this Sunday, December 3rd for the return of the Chula Vista Starlight Parade! The festival starts at 3PM, with a tree lighting ceremony at 5:45PM, and the parade beginning at 6PM. See our Upcoming Events section below for the complete map.
Cordially,
Deputy Mayor Jose Preciado
