Senior Supportive Housing In Pasadena

The City of Pasadena and BRIDGE celebrated the groundbreaking of Heritage Square South this summer. The 70-apartment property will provide new permanent supportive homes for extremely low-income seniors who have experienced homelessness. BRIDGE and the community mourn the loss of Councilmember John Kennedy, who passed away in July; he was a friend and true champion of affordable housing and the Heritage Square developments.

$250M in Transformational New Capital

BRIDGE secured a $250 million set-aside for project-level financing from Morgan Stanley and National Equity Fund (NEF) under a program that promotes affordable and workforce housing. “This game-changing commitment gives us speed, flexibility and a sharper competitive edge to accelerate our delivery of quality affordable housing to families and communities,” said Ken Lombard, BRIDGE President & CEO.

Waterleaf in the Works

Members of the BRIDGE team recently visited the Waterleaf site in Portland, OR. The property, adjacent to a streetcar stop, will provide 178 affordable apartment homes for families in the River Place neighborhood. Amenities will include a community room/lounge with kitchenette, a landscaped courtyard and play area, common laundry rooms, 267 bike parking spaces, and 3,668 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

This month, the Potrero Hill community in San Francisco enjoyed the annual backpack giveaway, BBQ cookoff and soap box derby, thanks to community members, partners, sponsors and our amazing Community Development staff. 350 students received backpacks and supplies to prepare for the academic year ahead! #PotreroIsHome

Affordable Housing Finance magazine has named Broadway Cove and 735 Davis among its 2022 Readers’ Choice Awards finalists. The two San Francisco properties, co-developed by BRIDGE and The John Stewart Company, offer a total of 178 affordable homes that serve residents across a wide range of incomes, from 0-120% of Area Median Income. Winners will be recognized at AHF Live in November.

Magnetic Capital

BRIDGE is one of 27 nonprofit housing organizations nationwide to receive funding under the latest round of the highly competitive Capital Magnet Fund, a grant program of the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. BRIDGE will use its $6.5 million award as a revolving source of predevelopment, acquisition and financing of affordable housing for people with low incomes and will leverage other public- and private-sector financing to advance its pipeline of nearly 10,000 homes.
