Sennett MSCR Information

Hello MSCR families! My name is DeVonte Robinson, I am the site director and tutor coordinator here at Sennett. End of The Year Tech Information

Greetings Sennett Families!

The end of the school year will be here soon! Here is what you need to know about student technology:

One of the end of the year activities is a chromebook wellness check to repair issues and, if needed, sort out fees. Sennett will be doing ours the week of May 22nd. If your child has a chromebook or charger issues, we strongly suggest that they bring it to Ms. Beckett in the library before May 22nd. Reported tech issues are much easier to fix; we cannot help if we don’t know that there is a problem.

  • 8th graders - Must return their chromebook and charger on June 2nd. They will spend time during homeroom in the week leading up to June 2nd making sure that their technology is labeled and ready to turn in. They will receive a new chromebook and charger from their high school in the fall. 8th graders who do not return a functional charger will be billed $35.00 to replace the lost/damaged charger. 8th graders who return a damaged chromebook will be billed $50.00 for repair costs 8th graders who do not return their chromebook will be billed $150.00 to replace the lost chromebook.

  • 6th and 7th grade students are invited to return their chromebook and charger on or before June 8th for storage here at Sennett; chromebooks & chargers that are turned in will be safely stored all summer and returned to students in the fall.

Madison Promise Application Window Now Open for 2023-2024 School Year

Madison Promise Online Program is gearing up for the 2023-2024 school year application window. We will serve students in grades 4-11 for the next academic school year.

We continue to learn a lot as we create an online experience that will support students/families seeking an online option. As part of our learning, we will have two opportunities for scholars and parents to submit applications. The first application window will be April 17th-May 19th.

Students will continue to enroll/register at their home school, and Madison Promise will be listed as their secondary enrollment. It is important to remember that based on DPI enrollment policies, students who are open-enrolled in MMSD will not be able to participate in the online program via MMSD.

Join Us for our Family Q & A Session

Quarter 4 Syllabus

Hi families -

We are eager to share your students' quarter 4 learning goals. Please take a moment to look at your child's Quarter 4 Syllabi.

Pay particular attention to the quarter standards and ways that students are assessed on those standards. Understanding the targets for learning can help you and your child have conversations about all the fantastic work they do at school. Feel free to reach out with any questions; teacher contact is available on the syllabi or you can email me, Ashley Foxborn, instructional coach, at afahlborn@madison.k12.wi.us.

Here's to our collaborative work to help students reach all their potential!

Transportation to and from school is provided by Madison Metro Transit. Please visit this Metro Transit website for routes specific to Sennett Students (scroll down to the bottom and click on Sennett Middle School)

Families - please be aware, if there is an issue with a Metro Bus (bus breaks down or has a mechanical issue) Metro Transit will always send another bus to the scene to take the kids home. Remind your students they should wait until the new bus arrives. They do not need to walk home. Metro Transit has assured us they send another bus as soon as possible but there may be delays based on bus availability. Thank you
