It's been a very busy few weeks around Sentimental Stitches. I'm sorry if you've had to wait a little longer for your order or this month's fabric packets for the 1857 Album Quilt. I tried to plan my time but family always comes first around here.
There was a wedding! Our son Kevin was married on June 11th and we couldn't be happier for him and his new bride, Lynne. The day was practically perfect in every way as my Grandmother used to say.

Susan Smith was inspired by one of my favorite antique quilts to create her Sweet William quilt. I'm thrilled to bring this talented Australian designer's wonderful pattern to you . The quilt has easy to piece baskets filled with a variety of applique blossoms. There are patterns for 36 blocks in this 67" quilt. The original quilt was circa 1860 from Pennsylvania.

This quilt pattern is an interpretation of the King George III Coverlet dated 1803. Permission was granted from the V&A Museum in London to make this quilt.
The blocks are 6 3/4" each and there are 16 different blocks, repeated twice each in the center of the quilt. The center block represents a formal garden that may be found at an English Castle and the applique surrounding the center blocks are florals, fruits and herbs that were used often for daily needs. The quilt pattern includes 25 patterns to make this stunning quilt.

You'll be reaching for these more than you can imagine. Making blocks with these templates is addictive! Use them for hand or machine piecing - scissors or rotary cutting. You won't want to be without these little gems. Each piece is labeled for easy reference.

This quilt is 72" square and is perfect for a lap quilt, bed topper or a wall hanging.
It was inspired by a few wool rugs that I own. It will fit right on the top of a king sized bed along the edge of the mattress or would look wonderful on the diagonal, draping off of the sides on a smaller bed.
The background is cotton and the pennies and applique are both cotton and wool. The center is constructed with 16 blocks, making it very easy to stitch the pennies by hand.

A very versatile table runner with an unusual outline and no curved piecing! Size: 28" x 41".

I run this through my printer for templates. It's the nicest I've found and always have it in my sewing room.
This is the thickest and the sturdiest freezer paper available. Extra thick sheets won't curl and are reusable. Specially formulated coating for temporary adhering to fabric. Use with ink jet printer to print patterns, shapes and templates. Use as stencils, prevents bleeding.
