The Gensler Community Outreach meetings were well attended, and we learned a lot! HERE is the whole slide deck, with information about possible uses for the buildings, and the problems of our location. On the up-side the buildings are "generally structurally sound with no significant water damage". Examination of the buildings found "significant to extensive rehabilitation needed for reuse" but that's not surprising considering how long they've been sitting empty. Each building is listed "complete interior modernization needed", also not surprising.
Here are their results, with the buildings color coded from light blue "significant rehabilitation needed" to the black "costs more to rehabilitate than to rebuild" (the latrines fall into that category). Zoom in to peek inside our buildings!
Gensler will organize input from the workshops and survey, and report back on what's possible and what people - EG residents and visitors - want and will support.
