Little Raven Gallery
Photography Exhibition by Harry Williams Jr.
| | |
Date: Saturday, October 10th
Time: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Little Raven Gallery
Location: 1015 Howard Street, San Francisco
Little Raven is an artist-run gallery, photography studio, and event space in the heart of SOMA. Founded in 2010 by photographer and SOMBA board member Laura Kudritzki, Little Raven provides a space for established and emerging photographers and artists to exhibit their work, share their vision, and build community.
The gallery will welcome photographer Harry Williams Jr. for the week of October 10–17, featuring an opening reception on Saturday, October 10 with a DJ, wine, and drinks, followed by an artist talk on October 16 from 6–8 p.m.
In Quiet is a photographic series created by Williams over two years inside the deteriorating bathroom of a once-loved San Francisco home that was eventually demolished. More than 40 people, including athletes, dancers, artists, activists, lovers, and people carrying grief, entered the space, each using it to be still, perform, protest, express love, or reveal something private. The room became a place where people could take up space and be fully present, beyond the roles imposed upon them.
