Sept. 18 WRAC Recreational Issues Meeting Canceled
Public lands remain closed to recreational activities to assess damages from Hurricane Irma
West Palm Beach, FL - The Sept. 18, 2017, Water Resources Advisory Commission (WRAC) Recreational Issues meeting has been canceled due to the South Florida Water Management District's ongoing recovery efforts from Hurricane Irma. The next WRAC Recreational Issues meeting is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at a location to be determined.
All SFWMD-managed lands and lands managed in partnership with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission remain closed to public access under an emergency order issued on Friday, Sept. 8. These lands are currently being assessed for impacts related to Hurricane Irma. They will be reopened once all necessary repairs and debris removal activities affecting public access are completed.
