Ford Announces New EV Platform
Ford has announced a universal EV platform that has been under development for three years and will be the basis for a line of lower-cost EVs beginning with a $30K pickup truck in 2027.

Ford Interceptor Available
Ford has notified us that a Police Interceptor that was ordered by an airport is available, now that the airport has lost the funding for the vehicle. The vehicle is painted “Airport Green.”

GM has announced that they will make available four adaptors to help car owners address the confusion associated with charging cars that have various ports in a world of chargers with various nozzles:
- NACS-to-CCS
- CCS-to-NACS
- NACS-to-J1772
- J1772-to-NACS

Clean Air Vehicles Have Carpool Lane Privileges Until November 29
Clean Air Vehicles with stickers allowing single occupant drivers to use the Carpool Lanes may use this privilege until November 29 before being cited. The DMV stopped accepting new Clean Air Vehicle sticker applications on August 29 and a 60-day transition period begins on October 1.

Tensor Announces First Fully Autonomous Car
EV Startup Tensor has announced plans to sell the first fully autonomous car. This luxury sedan will be built by Vinfast and will be equipped with 37 cameras, 5 lidars, 11 radars, microphones, ultrasonics, collision sensors, water detectors, data radios and will not require cloud connections.

EPA Proposing Ending GHG Reporting
The US Environmental Protection Agency has proposed ending the mandatory reporting of greenhouse gases by major emission sources.

BMW Hydrogen Fuel Cell BMW iX5
BMW has begun preproduction of the iX5 as a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, with model introduction planned for 2028. The power plant is 25% smaller than the prototype models but with the same power output.
