Ford Cuts EV Jobs in Europe


Ford plans to cute 5,000 jobs in Europe due to softening EV demand, moving from two shifts to one shift per day.

Rivian Breaks Ground on $5B Plant


Rivian is going all-in and beginning construction of their $5B manufacturing plant near Atlanta, Georgia. Rivian will also continue to manufacture vehicles at their Illinois plant.

Mercedes Benz Solid State Battery


Mercedes Benz recently drove an EQS model equipped with solid state batteries 749 miles without recharging and had 85 miles of range left at the end of the trip from Stuttgart in Germany to Malmö in Sweden.

Automated Vehicle Safety Standards


The Federal Highway Traffic Safety Administration is updating the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to address automated vehicles for the first time.

Stellantis Terminates EV Pickup Development


Stellantis has stopped the development of the RAM 1500 EV pickup truck citing a slowing demand for large BEV pickups due to concerns over charging speed, towing capacity and selling price.

Mitsubishi Corp. Has cancelled three offshore wind projects totaling nearly two gigawatts because of the soaring costs of wind energy.

California Exceeds 200,000 Public Charger Ports


Governor Newsom has announced that California now has 201,180 publicly available charging ports making it, “... easier to charge your vehicle with public EV infrastructure.”
