EV Permit Streamlining Requirement


Attorney General Rob Bonta has issued a “Reminder” that local jurisdictions are required to have streamlined permitting for EVSE under California Government Code Sections 65850.7 and 65850.71.

Grants Accepting Applications

HVIP Reopens September 9


The California HVIP Incentive Program will reopen on September 9 at 9am.


Key changes include: 

  • Simplified voucher tables 
  • Expanded fleet and program eligibility (large fleets are now eligible) 
  • Increased truck conversion incentives 
  • Streamlined compliance requirements

EPA Proposes More Bio/Renewable Fuels


The US EPA has proposed a significant increase in the amount of bio/renewable content in gasoline and diesel fuel.

Autonomous Vehicle Requirements in Texas


The Texas legislature passed SB 2807, a bill that requires autonomous vehicle companies to secure permits through the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and the permits require that the company have a first responder safety plan.

Near Zero Emission School Buses


Allen Schaeffer, Executive Director of the Engine Technology Forum notes that over 85% of school buses in the US are diesel powered and over 75% of them are powered by the latest technology diesel engines equipped with NOx and PM controls that result in near zero ozone-forming and toxic emissions. And they can run on renewable diesel at very low CO2 levels.
