Kole Roybal, PhD has been appointed Center Director for the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at UCSF. Dr. Roybal succeeds founding Center Director Lewis Lanier, PhD, following his retirement.

Matthew Gubens, MD was named a 2023 Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Open to early career faculty cancer center members, this program is designed to provide career development opportunities via invited presentations at peer Cancer Centers. Through the Exchange Program, early career faculty will have the opportunity to develop relationships with potential research collaborators, mentors, and sponsors; hone their oral presentation skills; and bolster their CVs as they prepare for promotion. Community Engagement
The HDFCCC Office of Community Engagement, in partnership with Umoja Health, provided health screenings and COVID vaccinations at All My Usos' Family Day, an annual event in support of the Pacific Islander community across the generations. The team also promoted colorectal cancer awareness, provided long COVID information, and answered the community's questions about their health.
