Welcome back, Mustangs! Teachers and staff are thrilled about the 2020-2021 school year, and I hope your week is off to a great start. We are confident that this will be a successful year as we learn and grow together.
We are excited to send you this first Mustang News newsletter. This new publication is our joint school and PTO newsletter that will contain all of the information you need to stay connected to the school. You will receive this newsletter every Wednesday morning, so please take the time to read it and mark important dates in your calendars.
We appreciate everyone’s support and commitment to your child’s academic success and the success of WUES. I will continue to share updates about virtual instruction and the rest of the school year, but please reach out to your teacher or grade level administrator if you have questions.

Welcome to the 2020 - 2021 School Year!
On behalf of the WUES PTO, I would like to welcome new families and returning families to WUES! WUES is a wonderful place for our children because of the combined efforts of our teachers, administration, community and families.
I would like to thank our PTO board and committee chairs for all of the hard work and effort they put into preparing for this school year over the summer. I hope you will join me in supporting their efforts as we work together to make this school year successful and rewarding.
You can keep up with events and news through the weekly Mustang News newsletter and the PTO website - www.westupto.org. Please complete the Red Apple Sale and Checklist this week. Also, please mark your calendar to join our first virtual PTO general meeting on September 22nd at 7 pm.
Have a great week and successful year!

NURSE PAULA'S
WELCOME NOTE
|
I just want to say hello to you all at the crazy start of the school year. I miss you all and really want to get back to our face to face school. To help us get back sooner, we need to follow these guidelines:
- Wear masks when you are in a building, unless it is your house.
- When you are around people not in your family, stay 6 feet apart with a mask.
- When you are outside with people still stay 6 feet apart.
- Wash your hands and use sanitizer frequently.
- Don't be around large crowds, no more than 10 people.
Please try to do these things so we can get back to our life that we had before mid-March. I am working during all of this, but it will not be the same. I know. You can’t come down yet for band aids and ice. I will be around. Mostly at the school but some at home. If you need anything you can call the school or email me at [email protected]
